- Ensure that inspections are conducted in accordance to an approved drawing, method statement (MS), Quality Control Procedure (QCP) and Inspection & Test Plan (ITP)
- To ensure planned inspections are as per the intervention points marked in the relevant ITP
- Create and implement a Quality Assurance and Control (QA/QC) plan for the worksite
- Create and maintain QA/QC inspection and testing request and reporting procedures
- Verification with relevant third-party inspection companies so that all relevant inspection meets the company’s and project’s requirements
- Closely monitor works-site activities to ensure quality of work is in compliance with company’s requirements good construction practice and ensure that only approved materials are used in compliance with approved drawings
- Prepare QA/QC dossier as required by the company and coordinate punch items closure with the relevant parties
- Preparation, revise QA/QC procedures like Quality Plan, Welding, NDE, PWHT, testing to meet International Standard requirements
- Final inspection for pressure vessels (Process Equipment’s, Heat Exchangers, Boilers, Reformer, Deaerator, Columns) as per ASME Code
- Monitoring / Witnessing of all the welding related activities as per approved ITP, QC procedure, approved GA drawing, WPS etc
- Witness of Welding procedure Qualification and Welder performance Qualification test
- Ensure the Non-Destructive Tests (NDT) activities such as Dye-Penetrate Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, PMI test, Hardness Test if necessary, during pre-fabrication and after completion of welding activities of piping and equipment
- Witness of Hydrostatic Test, Pneumatic Test, filled water test for tanks, vacuum box test
- Issue of Non-conformance reports & verification of Corrective/ Preventive action of Contractor
- Witness of Safety Relief Valves repair and testing at workshop and in-situ test
- Review of test-pack, reports, procedure & documents such as NDT reports, WPS, PQR, WPQ, weld map, PHWT report and chart etc
- Involved in inspection and repair of tube failure in Heat Exchangers (BFW Heater, LP Carbamate Condenser) as per approved vendor procedures
- Thermographic Inspection of Static/ Process Equipment (Reformer, PGC, Superheater, Convection Bank, Start-up Heater) for potential hotspots by Thermal Imaging Camera
- Monitoring of Primary Reformer skin Tube Metal Temperature (TMT) closely by Pyrometer
- Liaison with Supply Chain to issue PR for Inspection Tools/ Equipment for Inspection Works and engage with Vendors if any technical enquiry
- Witness of surface preparation and painting inspection activities (DFT measurement) for pressure vessels, piping etc in accordance to project painting specification PES-Y1
