I am currently working at the Department of Dermatology in Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital (RIPAS Hospital), which is Brunei's principal and largest public hospital. It serves as the primary referral and teaching hospital for medical and nursing students from Universiti Brunei Darussalam, the country's sole university offering such courses.

In my day-to-day practice, I have the privilege of providing consultations to a diverse group of 15-20 dermatological outpatients. My multifaceted role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities, including:

- Being readily accessible to clinical staff for in-person and telephonic consultations during regular working hours to provide guidance on treatment and patient management.

- Diagnosing and treating dermatological conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings, while also educating patients and their families on disease management and treatment.

- Cultivating an environment of trust and satisfaction by effectively communicating and educating patients on personalized skincare routines and preventative measures.

- Skillfully managing a busy schedule to optimize patient access to care by balancing clinical appointments with minor surgical procedures.

- Nurturing a harmonious and collaborative work atmosphere among staff members, thereby fostering enhanced productivity and job fulfillment.

- Collaborating with medical colleagues to provide specialized medical opinions and clinical consultations upon request.

• I worked at Python Pvt. Ltd from December 24, 2022 to March 25, 2023.
• My role was as a consultant specializing in dermatology. Python Pvt. Ltd owns and manages Uro Medical Care and Hiya Medical Center, both multi-specialty clinics located in Male city, Republic of Maldives. These clinics were established in 2022, providing comprehensive healthcare services, including consultations and outpatient procedures.
• During my time there, I provided skin consultations, evaluated patient skin conditions, used patient medical history for comprehensive skin assessments, prescribed appropriate medication for various skin conditions, performed non-invasive surgical procedures related to the skin, referred patients to specialized experts when necessary, engaged in discussions with patients regarding their skin health, and maintained electronic medical records using Mocdoc.
• Enhanced patient satisfaction with effective communication and education on skincare routines and prevention methods.
• Performed thorough skin cancer screenings for early detection and timely treatment planning.
• Monitored effectiveness of skin treatments and made necessary improvements or changes.

• Upon departing from EYGH, I embarked on a new professional journey at Kyaw Specialist Clinic, where I assumed the role of a dermatologist. My daily responsibilities encompassed a wide range of tasks, including meticulously documenting patient histories, conducting thorough examinations of cutaneous lesions, performing various investigative procedures, formulating accurate disease diagnoses, devising comprehensive treatment plans, and effectively managing a diverse array of dermatological conditions.
• Additionally, I also conducted minor surgical procedures, such as skin biopsies and electrocauterization, for conditions like warts, epidermal nevus, and seborrheic keratosis. I administered injections to address issues such as keloids, alopecia, and acne, and conducted chemical peels. Eager to broaden my horizons and acquire international exposure, I actively sought out opportunities abroad.
• Following a successful job interview, I ventured beyond Myanmar to take on the role of Consultant Dermatologist at private clinics managed by Python Pvt. Ltd. in the vibrant city of Male in the Republic of Maldives.

• In September 2019, I began my role as the first assistant dermatologist at East Yangon General Hospital, a prominent 250-bed public general hospital nestled in the heart of Botataung Township, Yangon, Myanmar. This prestigious position was the equivalent of a senior registrar post, and it entailed overseeing the seamless functioning of the dermatology department, as well as providing guidance to junior medical staff.
• My duties were diverse and demanding. In the outpatient department, I was responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of dermatological conditions. This involved conducting thorough investigations and performing certain surgical procedures. Additionally, I was entrusted with examining cases referred from other relevant services. Despite the limited resources at EYGH, I successfully managed severe cases, including generalized exfoliative dermatitis due to psoriasis vulgaris, cutaneous drug eruptions, pemphigus vulgaris, scleroderma, and systemic lupus erythematosus.
• Beyond my clinical responsibilities, I monitored the pharmacy's stock lists to ensure a steady supply of essential medications. Moreover, I actively participated in the hospital's monthly Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs and occasionally led educational sessions for junior doctors and paramedical staff.
• Although I cherished my time at EYGH, I yearned for fresh challenges and opportunities to expand my expertise. Consequently, I decided to tender my resignation in January 2021. Following my departure, I transitioned to working as a dedicated dermatologist in various private clinics and hospitals, eager to continue making a meaningful impact in the field of dermatology.

• After completing the course, I graduated with an M.Med.Sc (Dermatology) degree. In January 2019, I was promoted to the position of specialist assistant surgeon, which is equivalent to a junior registrar post, in the Dermatology ward at YGH. My responsibilities included conducting consultations for outpatients, screening, follow-up, and promptly referring complicated cases to senior consultants.
• I also provided in-patient care, offered opinions and management for interdepartmental patient referrals, and monitored patients' conditions in the ward. Under the supervision of professors, associate professors, and consultants, I administered treatment during daily ward rounds and supervised junior doctors. Additionally, I arranged monthly clinical meetings to ensure comprehensive care.
• During my time at YGH, I gained experience in performing phototherapy procedures such as UV B irradiation, PUVA phototherapy, and excimer laser. I also received hands-on training in basic dermatology-related surgical procedures, including shave and punch biopsies for diagnosing suspicious skin cancers, mole removal, electrocauterization of cutaneous lesions, injections for conditions such as acne, keloids, and alopecia, and chemical peeling.
• Furthermore, I participated in journal reading, CME meetings, and teaching programs. As YGH is one of the public tertiary care teaching hospitals in Myanmar, I had the opportunity to study rare dermatological diseases such as ichthyosis, porphyria, mastocytosis, Darier disease, morphea, dermatomyositis, epidermolysis hyperkeratosis, and various types of cutaneous cancers, including melanoma, angiosarcoma, and mycosis fungoides.

• From January 2016 to December 2018, I had the privilege of being a postgraduate student pursuing a master's degree in Dermatology at the Dermatology ward at Yangon General Hospital (YGH). This specialized program was meticulously designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of clinical dermatology, with a particular emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic skin conditions, while excluding cosmetic dermatology procedures. Throughout the program, I delved into learning the natural history, etiology, pathogenesis, clinical features, prognosis, and sequelae of dermatological diseases across all age groups. I also acquired in-depth knowledge of the guidelines for differential diagnosis of various dermatologic presentations, the histopathological features of dermatological conditions, the psychological basis of these conditions, as well as the diagnostic and laboratory procedures, their indications, limitations, and complications. Additionally, I gained a deep understanding of the principles, indications, precautions, and side effects of various therapeutic modalities for dermatological conditions. Furthermore, the program provided insights into the principles of health education, disease prevention, amelioration of suffering and disability, and rehabilitation where relevant, as well as the role and scope of dermatology practice, including accountability, confidentiality, responsibility, legal-ethical issues, and professional development. To enhance my academic knowledge, I actively participated in lectures, conducted weekly PowerPoint presentations to learn about various topics, diligently prepared monthly case presentations, engaged in monthly continuous medical educational programs, and participated in weekly journal reading classes. As an integral part of the curriculum, I dedicated myself to completing a dissertation titled 'Mean Platelet Volume in Scleroderma Patients'.
• In the dynamic clinical setting, I had the incredible opportunity to navigate a diverse spectrum of dermatological cases in the outpatient department (OPD), where I encountered approximately 10 to 15 new and returning patients daily. Under the guidance of seasoned professionals, I delved into the intricate world of dermatology. Moreover, my duties expanded to presenting newly admitted cases to esteemed dermatologists during clinical ward rounds in the inpatient setting. I diligently monitored patients, facilitating their recovery prior to discharge. This immersive experience allowed me to explore the associated clinical conditions of dermatological diseases, refine my skills in performing minor surgical operations, and master the art of obtaining skin specimens for investigations. I also gained comprehensive knowledge of managing severe skin diseases, including generalized exfoliative dermatoses and immunobullous diseases, such as pemphigus vulgaris.
• Throughout the program, I acquired the skills to meticulously interpret, dissect, integrate, and meticulously document the history and physical examination to arrive at a precise provisional diagnosis and differential diagnosis for prevalent dermatological conditions. I also developed the ability to meticulously devise a suitable diagnostic plan, select the most efficient and economical investigative procedures, and accurately interpret and analyze the findings. Furthermore, I learned to amalgamate clinical and investigational data with evidence-based knowledge to achieve proficiency in solving clinical problems. Additionally, I gained the capability to identify patients with life-threatening conditions requiring critical care and to craft comprehensive management plans while employing rational problem-solving techniques. I also honed my proficiency in utilizing sterile, safe techniques and adhering to international infection control guidelines, along with effectively communicating and counseling with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. Lastly, I gained valuable experience in contributing to research projects, developing scientific research work, and contributing to the enhancement of teaching and learning processes in the field of Medical Education.

• In July 2014, I began my role as a civil assistant surgeon (medical officer) at New Yangon General Hospital (NYGH), a prominent teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Medicine 1 (UM 1), Yangon. My primary responsibilities encompassed providing comprehensive care to inpatients in the general medical and surgical wards, where I tended to individuals with a wide spectrum of medical conditions. Under the close supervision of esteemed professors, associate professors, lecturers, and consultant physicians and surgeons, I acquired invaluable expertise in managing prevalent medical and surgical emergencies while delivering empathetic care to patients with chronic ailments commonly seen in our local population. The hospital's status as the primary hub for department heads in medicine and surgery provided me with unparalleled mentorship and guidance from distinguished trainers in our country's medical community.
• In addition to my clinical duties, I wholeheartedly engaged in the hospital's regular weekly continued medical education (CME) programs, which were led by seasoned professionals. Furthermore, I assumed the responsibility of meticulously preparing and actively contributing to teaching sessions tailored for undergraduate students, interns, and nursing and paramedical staff, all under the expert guidance of esteemed senior teaching faculty members.
• Upon the completion of my medical studies, my deep passion for dermatology inspired me to seek out and secure a highly competitive opportunity to undertake the M.Med.Sc (Dermatology) program at UM1. I successfully passed the rigorous selection exam on my first try, and I commenced an enriching 3-year master's training course, culminating in the prestigious achievement of obtaining the M.Med.Sc (Dermatology) degree in 2019.

• After obtaining my M.B., B.S. in 2012, I joined the teaching faculty at the Health & Social Care Department of Victoria University College (VUC), the pioneering private university college in Myanmar. During my time there, which spanned over a year and four months, I undertook the rewarding responsibility of educating higher national diploma students in fundamental anatomy, physiological principles, and essential communication and counseling skills. However, driven by a desire for greater clinical exposure, I sought and secured a position within a government-affiliated teaching hospital at the University of Medicine (1), the largest and most esteemed medical university in our nation.
• While at VUC, I eagerly participated in local charity mobile clinics in suburban and rural regions of Myanmar. These clinics, mainly hosted in monasteries, served as invaluable platforms for me to gain hands-on clinical experience and extend assistance to individuals living in rural communities. This experience exposed me to a diverse array of medical conditions, ranging from infectious dermatological diseases like scabies, impetigo, and Tinea infections to prevalent non-communicable diseases such as hypertension.
